Recorded incredibly quickly over a few weeks in Brooklyn, the veteran songwriter delivers a loose, highly jam-oriented collection of folk rock. The album leans heavily into extended, Grateful Dead-inspired guitar solos and his signature, darkly surreal lyrical observations regarding American consumerism and historical amnesia. It acts as a remarkably relaxed, yet intellectually sharp entry in his deep catalog.
