Album Notes & Community Reviews

A crowning achievement of the Brazilian soul movement, showcasing a deeply sensual, highly polished blend of American R&B and indigenous rhythms. Produced during a period of intense artistic fertility in Rio de Janeiro, the singer-songwriter utilizes sweeping string arrangements and incredibly tight funk instrumentation. It remains a legendary, deeply influential touchstone for samba-soul aficionados and crate-diggers worldwide.
