Written entirely on bass guitar during pandemic isolation, the Welsh artist's sixth album is a surreal, meticulously constructed exercise in 1980s art-pop. The heavily synthesized, angular arrangements feature prominent saxophone lines and fretless bass, providing a cold but melodic backdrop for her deeply cryptic lyrical poetry.
