Running With Scissors

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Running With Scissors', Cavetown expands his signature lo-fi intimacy into more dynamic and experimental arrangements, blending glitchy electronics, pop-punk, and driving indie rock with his established dream-pop sound. The songwriting explores the threshold between youth and adulthood with a newfound assertiveness, tackling themes of secure love, self-acceptance, and identity. This results in an emotionally expansive album that balances moments of raw catharsis and layered production with the gentle acoustic textures and disarming honesty central to his work.
