Cecil Taylor Unit

Album Notes & Community Reviews

From the prolific output of Cecil Taylor, one of approximately 108 albums, comes 'Cecil Taylor Unit'. Recorded in April 1978 at Columbia Recording Studios, New York, this release offers a potent glimpse into Taylor's unique pianistic vocabulary. His improvisational approach, a cornerstone of the avant-garde movement, is characterized by a relentless energy and a complex, often dissonant harmonic language. Expect a challenging yet rewarding listening experience, typical of his individual style within the free jazz idiom.
