Superflat

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released under the alias C'est La Key by artist Devyn Smith (also known as Coin Locker Kid), 'Superflat' operates less as a traditional album and more as an experimental radio drama. The project weaves a narrative centered on a struggling artist's creative and personal anxieties, utilizing a unique production that blends lo-fi musical sketches, extensive spoken dialogue, poetry, and field recordings. Its avant-garde structure and conceptual focus on artistic struggle create a challenging and abstract listening experience.
