Album Notes & Community Reviews
Anchored by its famously autobiographical title track, this album formally established Charles Aznavour as a premier star of French chanson. His famously gravelly, emotive vocal delivery is paired with lush orchestral arrangements, perfectly conveying the dramatic, deeply poetic narratives of struggle, ambition, and heartbreak.
