Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former This Heat drummer and vocalist stepped further away from severe industrial dissonance to craft an eccentric, song-oriented solo record. 'Survive the Gesture' frames his anxious, socially conscious lyrics within quirky avant-prog rhythms and surprisingly melodic art pop arrangements. The album showcases his ability to merge experimental percussion techniques with accessible, albeit darkly skewed, pop structures.
