Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring the legendary lineup containing Eric Dolphy and Clifford Jordan, this live release highlights Mingus directing a powerhouse sextet through fiercely dynamic, politically charged avant-garde suites. Despite a chaotic production history, the performances remain essential documents of his deeply emotional and structurally complex vision.
