Album Notes & Community Reviews

Eschewing the heavily manufactured feel of his debut, Charlie Puth took full production control for 'Voicenotes', famously building the tracks around rough voice memos saved on his phone[cite: 4]. The record is heavily steeped in slick, 80s-inspired synth funk and smooth R&B basslines, showcasing a significantly more mature and rhythmic songwriting approach[cite: 4].
