Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written in the tragic aftermath of her half-sister's death, the French singer-actor delivers a remarkably vulnerable, whisper-quiet synth-pop masterpiece. Featuring exquisite, disco-tinged production from SebastiAn and Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the record tackles themes of grief, childhood memories, and public mourning. It marks the first album where Gainsbourg wrote the majority of her own lyrics.
