Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed by guitar virtuoso David T. Chastain and released through the shred-centric Shrapnel Records, this debut album delivered a heavy, technically dazzling approach to American power metal. 'Mystery of Illusion' is notably distinguished by the incredibly powerful, gritty vocal performance of frontwoman Leather Leone, an anomaly in a heavily male-dominated scene. The complex, neoclassical arrangements and dark fantasy lyricism cemented the group as a formidable cult act.
