Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his highly influential transition from country session player to sophisticated solo instrumentalist, the guitarist utilizes light string arrangements and subtle choral backings to frame his immaculate fingerpicking. The repertoire completely abandons traditional rural themes in favor of romantic pop melodies and gentle Latin rhythms. The recording played a massive role in defining the slick, commercially dominant 'Nashville Sound.'
