Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a brief, productive return to the United States before his lengthy European exile, 'Baby Breeze' finds Chet Baker mixing his signature cool jazz melancholy with subtle hard bop influences. The album balances purely instrumental tracks featuring his lyrical flugelhorn playing with several of his famously fragile, hushed vocal performances. It is a strong, highly competent session from his turbulent mid-career period.
