Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in Paris during a period of prolific European touring, 'Broken Wing' captures the legendary trumpeter in a deeply melancholic, introspective mood. Supported by a stellar rhythm section, Baker's lyrical, breathy tone is remarkably clear and emotionally potent. The sessions highlight his enduring mastery of slow-tempo ballads and spontaneous, harmonic invention.
