Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a tumultuous period of European expatriation, this session attempts to soften the trumpeter's image by bathing his fragile vocals and lyrical playing in massive orchestral arrangements. While undeniably romantic, the heavy-handed production often overwhelms his famously intimate, understated West Coast aesthetic.
