Album Notes & Community Reviews

Cut during a turbulent expatriate period for the trumpeter in Italy, this session features an impressive local rhythm section augmenting his famously fragile, lyrical horn approach. Despite ongoing personal struggles, the playing remains lucid and melodic, demonstrating an enduring command over the melancholic West Coast aesthetic he helped invent.
