As early participants in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Chevy eschewed the speed and aggression of their peers for a more blues-inflected, traditional hard rock sound. 'The Taker' relies on thick, mid-tempo twin guitar riffs and anthemic choruses strongly echoing the 1970s stadium rock era. It remains a fascinating, slightly out-of-step curiosity for collectors of the classic NWOBHM movement.
