Album Notes & Community Reviews
Attempting to navigate the rapidly shifting commercial landscape of the late seventies, 'Chicago 13' sees the horn-driven ensemble heavily integrating disco rhythms and slick studio polish. The departure of key founding personnel forced a significant recalibration of their songwriting dynamic, leaning heavily into mainstream pop and adult contemporary formulas. Despite achieving respectable charting positions, it is often viewed as a controversial transitional document in the group's expansive catalog.
