Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a distinct return to a punchier, funk-oriented rock sound after the sprawling explorations of their previous album, 'Chicago VIII' incorporates heavy synthesizer elements and tight brass arrangements. Yielding the massive hit 'Old Days,' the record successfully balances the group's signature jazz-rock instrumental prowess with immense commercial pop appeal.
