Album Notes & Community Reviews
The legendary duo of pianist Chick Corea and vibraphonist Gary Burton expand their telepathic interplay by integrating a classical string quartet. 'Lyric Suite for Sextet' is a brilliant exercise in Third Stream composition, balancing structured chamber music elegance with fluid, pristine jazz improvisation. The recording perfectly encapsulates the sophisticated, crossover aesthetic of the ECM label.
