Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed by an exceptional ensemble arranged by Ralph Sharon, the cool-toned vocalist delivers one of the finest, most deeply swinging sessions of her career. The orchestrations balance bright brass with understated woodwinds, providing an elegant setting for her slightly husky, impeccably phrased interpretations of jazz standards. The recording affirms her status as a premier stylist of the 1950s vocal jazz movement.
