In one of the most infamously confounding stylistic pivots in rock history, the Soundgarden frontman collaborated entirely with hip-hop producer Timbaland for his third solo album. Completely abandoning rock instrumentation, Cornell belts his signature raspy vocals over heavily synthesized club beats and R&B percussion loops. The album was universally panned by rock critics and fans upon release, cementing its legacy as a notorious commercial misfire.
