Planet Ocean
by Chris Watson
'Planet Ocean' is a work of hydrophone field recordings celebrating the sounds, rhythms, and textures of the world's oceans. The album presents a collection of tidal voices captured from above and below the water's surface, aiming to immerse the listener in the planet's most sound-rich habitat. Inspired by the first color photographs of Earth from space, the composition serves as an auditory reminder of the ancient and ongoing relationship between humanity and the marine environments that support all life.
