The Italian duo Chrisma pioneered a remarkably dark, intensely futuristic brand of synthesized post-punk on their profoundly unique debut. 'Chinese Restaurant' utilizes heavily repetitive, highly rhythmic drum machines and icy synthesizers to construct an incredibly mysterious, wonderfully energetic nocturnal atmosphere that echoes krautrock and early minimal wave.
