Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by former members of the Swedish power metal juggernaut Sabaton, Civil War's debut album 'The Killer Angels' predictably focuses on epic, historically driven heavy metal. The record leans slightly closer to traditional 1980s heavy metal than their previous band, elevated by the incredibly powerful, raspy vocals of frontman Nils Patrik Johansson. It successfully established the breakaway project as a formidable force in the historical metal subgenre.
