Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fully embracing a highly polished, heavily synthesized approach to traditional Irish music, this commercial powerhouse brought the family band to massive global prominence. 'Macalla' beautifully envelops their haunting, Gaelic vocal harmonies in slick layers of atmospheric pop-rock production. The incredibly successful lead single 'In a Lifetime', featuring an impassioned guest vocal performance from U2's Bono, definitively bridged the gap between Celtic folk and international arena rock.
