Album Notes & Community Reviews

The sophomore album from the idiosyncratic English songwriter yielded his biggest hit, the remarkably tender 'Gaye'. Characterized by pristine, classical-leaning orchestrations and deeply poetic, romantic lyricism, the arrangements eschew typical rock instrumentation in favor of elegant woodwinds and strings. It is a defining masterpiece of quintessentially British, melancholic chamber pop.
