Album Notes & Community Reviews

A notable shift in the Cocteau Twins' sound, 'Four-Calendar Caf茅' trades some of their signature sonic obfuscation for clearer production and more intelligible lyrics from Elizabeth Fraser. The album leans into a more direct Dream Pop and Jangle Pop framework, showcasing gentle, shimmering guitar work and introspective moods. While a departure from their denser Ethereal Wave origins, it highlights the band's immaculate melodic songwriting.
