Recorded in 1997 by Russian-born, Sweden-based sound artist Ivan Pavlov, 'Mask of Birth' was his first completed album as COH, though it appeared only three years later as a vinyl LP. Its nine tracks subject disco and techno materials to digital recombination and glitch, announcing the post-techno method Pavlov pursued across his subsequent work.
