Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a massive departure for the progressive rock titans, their eighth studio album is their first to entirely abandon their long-running science fiction concept narrative, The Amory Wars. 'The Color Before the Sun' instead offers highly personal, introspective alternative rock focused heavily on frontman Claudio Sanchez's experiences with impending fatherhood. The album relies on surprisingly accessible, remarkably melodic pop-rock song structures.
