Driven by massive viral success on Myspace, 'Coco' serves as the multi-platinum debut for acoustic singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. The production is incredibly mellow and soothing, relying on warm acoustic guitars and breezy, adult contemporary melodies. The album's universally appealing, cozy aesthetic dominated pop radio, providing a soft alternative to the heavy electronic dance music of the period.
