Former hardcore punk vocalist Wesley Eisold completely reinvents himself on this debut full-length, delivering a masterclass in icy, lo-fi electronic pop. Utilizing primitive analog synthesizers and drum machines, the record heavily channels the bleak aesthetics of 1980s darkwave and acts like New Order and Joy Division. It was a foundational release for the modern revival of underground, goth-leaning synthpop.
