Album Notes & Community Reviews

Despite a notoriously fraught production process that left the band dissatisfied, 'Breakfast at Sweethearts' perfectly encapsulates the raw, sweaty energy of Australian pub rock. Jimmy Barnes's shredded vocals and Don Walker's sharply observant, working-class songwriting elevate the group's blues-based rock above their peers. The album yielded essential live staples that cemented their impending status as absolute titans of the domestic rock scene.
