Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking a brief hiatus from the legendary post-punk outfit Wire, Newman crafted a surprisingly mellow and melodic solo project driven heavily by sequencers and samplers. The highly abstract, synthesized arrangements highlight his deadpan vocal delivery and ethereal art pop songwriting. The quirky, minimalist production provides a fascinating contrast to the heavier guitar orientation of his primary band.
