Album Notes & Community Reviews

Consolidating their position as Motown's premier funk ensemble of the decade, the band delivers a robust collection of tightly arranged grooves[cite: 1]. The record balances heavily syncopated, horn-driven funk workouts with Lionel Richie's increasingly prominent, lush smooth soul balladry[cite: 1].
