Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping away from the soulful boom-bap that defined his mid-2000s critical peak, the Chicago MC collaborated heavily with The Neptunes for this unexpected stylistic pivot. The album embraces futuristic, synthesizer-heavy electro-hop production and significantly lighter, club-oriented lyricism. It was highly polarizing upon release but represented a bold, danceable experiment in his extensive catalog.
