Album Notes & Community Reviews
Abandoning the dark, ritualistic pagan-folk of their debut, Comus shifted dramatically toward a conventional, occasionally quirky progressive pop sound for their second and final studio outing. The album displays a lighter, eclectic aesthetic, though it was largely dismissed at the time for lacking the unsettling, visceral impact of their prior work.
