Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembling a veritable all-star cast of West Coast jazz luminaries, this session injects cool, intricate bop arrangements with deeply swinging Latin percussion. The brilliant, fluid saxophone work of Art Pepper shines against the highly rhythmic, conga-driven backings. The recording is a flawless, highly energetic intersection of California jazz sophistication and Afro-Cuban fire.
