Album Notes & Community Reviews

Converge delivers their twelfth studio album, 'Hum of Hurt', via Epitaph Records. Conceived by vocalist Jacob Bannon as an exploration of the real-world acoustic anomaly known as the Hum, this Kurt Ballou-produced record merges their signature technical metalcore with the dense, atmospheric weight of sludge metal. The project leans heavily into raw, noise-infused post-hardcore textures, channeling deeply philosophical and introspective themes through a relentless, apocalyptic sonic assault.
