Album Notes & Community Reviews

Exploding out of the UK garage scene, the young vocalist's debut seamlessly fused the syncopated rhythms of 2-step with pristine, American-style R&B. 'Born to Do It' was heavily guided by producer Mark Hill, matching acoustic guitar loops and skipping beats with David's exceptionally smooth vocal delivery. The massive international success of the record briefly positioned British urban music at the forefront of global pop.
