Album Notes & Community Reviews

An ambitious conceptual project, this album finds trombonist Curtis Fuller interpreting the score of the 1940 all-Black Broadway musical 'Cabin in the Sky'. Arranged by Manny Albam for a massive orchestra featuring strings and a top-tier jazz rhythm section, it highlights Fuller's warm, lyrical tone within a sweeping, cinematic framework.
