Album Notes & Community Reviews
Presenting a remarkably fluid, horn-like agility on a traditionally cumbersome instrument, the leader's debut marks a significant advancement in modern jazz trombone vocabulary. Anchored by Sonny Red and a robust rhythm section, the session remains a definitive statement of deeply swinging, blues-oriented hard bop.
