Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his shift toward smoother, more heavily orchestrated R&B, 'Never Say You Can't Survive' finds Curtis Mayfield delivering uplifting messages of resilience. The production eschews the gritty funk of his legendary cinematic soundtracks in favor of lush string sections and gentle, mid-tempo Chicago soul grooves. The pristine arrangements perfectly complement his signature, emotive falsetto.
