Album Notes & Community Reviews

Building on his revolutionary soul-funk sound, 'Sweet Exorcist' sees Curtis Mayfield further refining his lush, progressive-soul arrangements. While arguably less overtly political than his immediate masterpieces, the album nevertheless maintains his deeply conscious, socially aware perspective, balanced against complex, string-heavy compositions and tight, funky rhythmic interplay.
