Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring a remarkably bleak, intensely political cover art homage to the Great Depression, Curtis Mayfield delivered one of his most deeply profound, socially conscious masterworks. 'There's No Place Like America Today' utilizes wonderfully warm, beautifully melodic progressive soul and stripped-back funk arrangements to convey a deeply melancholic, fiercely critical reflection on urban decay.
