Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following her massive debut, Lauper pursued a slightly more restrained, mature pop sound for her sophomore effort. Bolstered by the iconic, heavily synthesized title track, the album effectively merges her eccentric new wave energy with highly polished, deeply melodic adult contemporary ballads.
