Album Notes & Community Reviews

The solo debut of Dadju, formerly of Shin Seka茂, recasts his family's soukous inheritance as contemporary French R&B and Afro trap, powered by the single 'Reine'. The half-brother of Gims and son of Djuna Djanana, a singer in Papa Wemba's Viva la Musica, he builds the record on melodic, romantic songwriting over rhythmic, soukous-inflected production, an essential catalog entry in the Congolese diaspora's reshaping of French pop.
