Divided Alien Playbax 80

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally produced as backing tape loop tracks for the Gong founder's eccentric solo performances, this release is a bizarre excursion into minimalist electronic experimentation. Allen heavily utilized repetitive, pulsing drum machines and abrasive tape manipulation to create an atmosphere akin to early European industrial and coldwave. It stands as a remarkably strange, futuristic left turn from his signature psychedelic space-rock style.
