Album Notes & Community Reviews
The quartet built the album from songs gathered on folklore expeditions through Ukrainian villages, recording it in the shadow of the war that began with Russia's invasion of the east. By then the group had played an NPR Tiny Desk concert and would go on to receive the Shevchenko National Prize, Ukraine's highest state award for culture.
